WHY HI FORM DON’T FEATURE IN FEEDMARK’S HORSE JOINT SUPPLEMENT COMPARISON CHART!!

Hi Form Proflamaid Plus Scoop

WHY HI FORM DON’T FEATURE IN FEEDMARK’S CHALLENGE TO COMPARE YOUR JOINT SUPPLEMENT!!

This came into my inbox this afternoon and I couldn’t resist taking a peek. If you look at this chart, of course, their brand new product comes out on top. Well, it had to or there would have been no point in the table.

How do Hi Form Compare Feedmark Best Flex

Hi Form don’t even make an appearance in this chart for several important reasons.

It’s important that you don’t take charts like this on face value when choosing supplements for your horses and that you do dig a little deeper, but we know not everyone has time to do that.  So we’ve done it for you!

Firstly, you need to add up the ingredients – the total comes to 56,500 milligrams – these are the active ingredients.

Then you need to look at the small print at the bottom, based on maintenance rates shown in milligrams for a 500kg horse. No clue as to what that is, of course. So, I hit the web chat on the Feedmark page. I found out that for a 400 to 600 Kg horse you need to feed 3 x 50ml scoops per day which is 90 grams or 90,000 milligrams*.

With me so far?  That’s a heck of a lot of powder just for joints…….

Back to the point, we have 56,500 milligrams of active ingredients (“active” in that many of these ingredients come from shellfish, bovines, sharks, are synthetically produced which in our opinion is outwith and alien to the diet of a strict herbivore or are tech/feed grade ingredients that we can’t eat so why would our horses that we profess to love?) of the 90,000 milligrams that I need to feed every day so I wondered what is the other 33,500 milligrams made up of?  It is after all over a third of the daily supplement feed rate……………. care to hazard a guess?

Well they weren’t entirely sure either and I had to wait a while, I guess someone was running around the office trying to find the answer for this mad woman’s question. I did finally get an answer which may shock you.  The remaining ingredients are…. that really expensive by-product….. Linseed meal!

I asked why and was told it was for “consistency of the powder” and to make in more “palatable”.*

I then asked for the “Flex Score” rating system to be explained to me other than it showed that the new Feedmark product came out on top. My basic maths counted 7 ingredients so there should be 7 stars shouldn’t there? No, there are 5 stars so how does that work then? Rather suspicious don’t you think……………………….other than to visually provide you with the impression that their product is better than anyone else’s. My question is what are the feed rates for everyone else’s? Are they comparing like for like? Feed rate for feed rate? I don’t know as the information isn’t there. Feedmark couldn’t tell me either and suggested that I call back tomorrow to find out.*

So, back to our point…

OUR HUMBLE OPINION IS THAT WE ARE DELIGHTED THAT:

A) WE DO NOT FIGURE ON THIS LIST – WE COULDN’T THERE IS NO INGREDIENT COMPARISON

B) THAT PROFLAMAID PLUS DOES NOT CONTAIN SHELLFISH, SHARK, BOVINE OR SYNTHETICALLY PRODUCED INGREDIENTS

C) HI FORM CONTAINS ONLY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS – NOT A SINGLE GRANULE OF FILLER WILL YOU FIND

D) PROFLAMAID NOT ONLY MAINTAINS JOINTS BUT LIGAMENTS, TENDONS AND MUSCLES TOO

E) OUR STANDARD FEED RATE IS 25 GRAMS PER DAY

F) PROFLAMAID PLUS CONTAINS ONLY INGREDIENTS THAT CAN BE ABSORBED INTO THE EQUINE BODY AND RESPECTS THE FACT THAT HORSES ARE STRICT HERBIVORES

G) OUR PRODUCTS ARE OF ONLY THE HIGHEST QUALITY INGREDIENTS, WE COULD NEVER AFFORD TO GIVE 50% OFF – DOESN’T IT MAKE YOU WONDER?

FEEDMARK WE DID COMPARE AND NO THANKS, IN YOUR OWN WORDS.

PROFLAMAID PLUS IS SIMPLY THE BEST JOINT AND MUSCLE SUPPLEMENT MONEY CAN BUY.
